Google’s Android now #1 for US Smartphone users
A report released by comScore 65.reveals what we were expecting to happen. Since January 2011, Google’s Android is the #1 operating platform for US used smartphones. Android’s market share is 31.2 percent market share, leaving behind RIM (BlackBerry) in second spot with 30.4 percent market share. Apples platform, used on iPhones, is ranked third with a 24.7 percent share of the market. On 4 and 5 it is Microsoft and Palm respectively.
So what does this mean for your business? Do you need an application for Android? Or are your users more likely to use a BlackBerry or an iPhone? Or would a mobile optimised web site be your best bet that works across all platforms and devices? Please give us a call or email us if you like to discuss your options in more detail. We are happy to help.

Komosion’s Vietnamese Team in Melbourne

Cang and Duc at Phillip Island
Last month two of our Vietnam based Systems Developers came down to Melbourne for some quality face-to-face time with our Melbourne technical team. Cang and Duc spent two weeks working from our Komosion offices and enjoyed some further training in the Komodo Digital product suite. Cang and Duc also took part in some brainstorming sessions to establish the 2011 Komodo Digital development roadmap.
They have now headed back to Vietnam with their head full of Komosion development information! Just before they left they were able to include a whirlwind trip to Phillip Island. See some penguins, checked out the Boardwalk at The Nobbies to see the rock formations and see the seal coloney before they jetted back to Ho Chi Minh City.

With social networking emerging at stellar speed and everyone wanting to have this and that we questioned: ‘How does it add value?’ It reminded us of the dotcom bubble but more subdued.
My friend went on to become an expert in social marketing in high demand and I invested in some new technology companies to work on it from the inside, one of which was Komosion.
